This storytelling and shadow play performance is based on the story by Maurice Sendak. Max is punished and sent to bed without eating anything, but that night a forest grows in his room, and an ocean tumbles by with a boat. Max sails off through night and day to where the wild things are. This is the story of a journey through light and shadows.

Sherezade is not my stage name. It's my real name. It was my brother's idea, but that's another story.

I've always liked to move about. Whether sitting in outpatients, playing hide and seek, sleeping, or most of all, at university while I was studying to teach music. Since I found it difficult to keep still, I decided to study drama - some eleven years ago now - and I have continued to train as a storyteller. How quickly time passes! I continue to move about a lot, telling stories in theatres, schools, libraries, at festivals, and at my brother's house before my nieces fall asleep. And yet, amid all this movement, I always find the time to be the narrator of my own story.

For technical reasons, this show cannot be presented with sign language as had initially been announced. We hereby invite you to come to the puppet show Gnoma, which will be presented with sign language on Sunday, 8 April at 12.30 pm.
