Conference on Art and Spirituality at the Miró
The Fundació Joan Miró is involved in the 'Picasso 2023 / Tàpies 2024 / Miró 2025' triple commemoration, which began in 2023 in Barcelona and Catalonia with the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Picasso's death and the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the opening of the Museu Picasso. The event continues this 2024 with the centenary of the birth of Tàpies, and it will culminate in 2025 with the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Fundació Joan Miró.
The third day of the conference will take place at the Fundació Joan Miró, revolving around the work of Miró, his link with music and the artist's more spiritual and celestial aspects.
6.00 pm: 'Musical introduction: Miró and music' by ESMUC students under the direction of David Albet.
6.30 pm: 'Joan Miró and spirituality' by Maria Josep Balsach.
7.15 pm: 'Miró and the stars: celestial and earthly events in Miró's visual constellation' by Mery Cuesta.
8.00 pm: Closing ceremony involving a musical artistic action by Fito Conesa.

The Conference on Art and Spirituality is directed by Victoria Cirlot and Manuel Guerrero Brullet in coordination with the Humanities Department at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, the support of the Government of Catalonia's Culture Department and the collaboration of the Fundació Antoni Tàpies, Museu Picasso and Fundació Joan Miró.
