Museum Day and Museum Night 2018 at the Fundació Joan Miró
On Friday, 18 May, International Museum Day, the Fundació Joan Miró will offer free admission from 10 am to 8 pm, giving visitors the opportunity to see the exhibitions currently showing: The Odyssey, by Bárbara Sánchez Barroso, at Espai 13; Itō Shinsui. Tradition and modernity; and Beehave, in its final days in the exhibition rooms.
To celebrate Museum Night, on Saturday, 19 May, admission to the Foundation will also be free of charge from 7 pm to 1 am, with activities that include guided tours and a participatory workshop on architecture. On the same Saturday, in the morning, the Fundació Joan Miró will participate in Barcelona’s Architecture Week by organising a discussion tour of Sert’s building, a workshop to imagine a greener city, and another workshop on sketching in various spaces in and around the museum.
