La masía. Un Miró para Mrs. Hemingway

The Fundació Joan Miró hosts the launch of the book La masía. Un Miró para Mrs. Hemingway, by Alex Fernández de Castro

Using Joan Miró’s famous painting The Farm as a point of departure, Fernández de Castro portrays an era and explores the connections between Miró and Ernest Hemingway. Published by Publicacions de la Universitat de València, the book is the result of five years of research and documentation that have taken the author from Mont-roig del Camp to Boston by way of Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca. Rosa Maria Malet, Director of the Fundació Joan Miró, Elena Juncosa, coordinator of the Mas Miró project, and Carme Manuel, Director of the Biblioteca Javier Coy d’Estudis Nord-americans and Professor of English Philology at the University of Valencia, will present the book at the Jacques Dupin Library, Fundació Joan Miró, on Thursday 4 February at 7 pm.
