From 30 January to 1 March, Espai 13 at the Fundació Joan Miró will host Desplaçament, a project by Paco Vacas, as part of the exhibition series Comunicacions. El vigor de l’efímer.
Conceived as an evolving process, Desplaçament symbolises the natural trajectory of a sensation. In the three days following the opening, Vacas will move through different sections of the project, each intrinsically linked to the human body, bringing to life the inherent evolution of every creative act – an evolution that often remains confined to the conceptual realm. Once his presence and actions have faded, only memory will remain, serving as an intermediate step towards their imprint on our collective consciousness, a consciousness that endures for as long as we exist.
From 4 February until the exhibition closes, visitors will witness how this natural evolution has been altered by the intervention – often violent – of an external force beyond the creative act itself. This force may serve as a metaphor for the moment when the artist must determine what to present. The only path Vacas offers us is a journey through something fixed and unyielding, leading to a hat rendered lifeless by the needle that has pierced it. |
