Eight or Ten, Six or Seven Wolves becomes a key chapter in Usue Arrieta and Vicente Vázquez's research on the construction of community through movement, an audiovisual attempt to explore some geographical and social contexts that, in the last years, have taken them to study group practices related to sports and leisure.
For this occasion, Arrieta/Vázquez focus their analysis on two crowd-gathering events that share and transform -even if in a permanent or temporary way- the same landscape: the Tour de France on its way through the Atlantic Pyrenees, and Pirineos Sur, the festival of world music that takes place yearly in Lanuza (Huesca). These are two enclaves that define models of socialization in which the temporary occupation of land and settlement give rise to diverse narratives and choreographies based on shared experience.
Eight or Ten, Six or Seven Wolves grows and is dividen into two separate but complementary parts. On the one hand, there is the exhibition at Espai 13; and on the other, the single channel video 90º Doble vertiente that will be screened at the Fundació Joan Miró's auditorium during the exhibition.
