To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Fundació Joan Miró, the Library is organising Reading Miró, a special day of reading inspired by the life and work of Miró.
To take part in Reading Miró, send an email to biblioteca(ELIMINAR)@fmirobcn.org with the following information:
-Name and surname(s)
-Tel. no.
-Your preferred time slot for reading aloud (approx. 10 minutes of reading). Please choose a 30-minute time slot between 10 am and 6 pm.
We will send you a message to confirm the allocated time. You can also attend as a spectator.
Participants will be invited to visit the Joan Miró collection and they will be given a copy of the selected readings.
Proposed readings for Reading Miró:
-Texts written by Joan Miró that appear in works such as Carnets catalans, L'enfance d'Ubu, Ubu aux Baléares, Le lézard aux plumes d'or, Epistolari català: 1911-1945.
-Fragments of books belonging to Joan Miró's personal library by authors who had an influence on his work, including Baudelaire, Rimbaud, Aragon, Mallarmé, Apollinaire, St. Francis and Goethe.
-Texts by authors who have written about Miró, such as Jacques Dupin, Roland Penrose, Pere Gimferrer and Margit Rowell.
The various publications related with Joan Miró have been written or translated into different languages. The proposed readings that are selected may be read in various languages, including Catalan, Spanish, English, French, German, Italian and Japanese, among others.
