Joan Miró and Henri Matisse shared a fascination with the metamorphosis of shapes and the construction of colour in their works. Even though their artworks are very different, their mutual admiration was a wellspring they each drew on, inspiring them to create their own universes. What do the works of Miró and Matisse have in common? What is a shape? Where does colour come from?
This tour will explore the two artists' works through play and drawing, helping us to understand the transformation of forms and the origin of colour while we discover their artistic universes.
