Christmas Special at the Miró
We are pleased to celebrate the arrival of Christmas with a special day suitable for everyone, featuring a printmaking workshop, a drawing and painting workshop on cement, an area with artistic Christmas products and hot chocolate for all in the Carob Tree Patio of the Fundació Joan Miró.

Workshop 'Soft as cement'

This workshop explores the creative possibilities of cement, which is usually associated with construction, as a material for painting and drawing. Inspired by the technical innovations of Joan Miró and Henri Matisse, we will use cement to create unique textures and shapes that challenge the expectations of its conventional use. Guided by the artist Sergi Serra Mir.
Printmaking workshop 'Look Closely'

Like Miró and Marcoussis, in this workshop we will be making prints under the guidance of the artist Xavi Rodríguez Martín, taking as our starting point our portrait: we will look closely at ourselves and incorporate into our portrait symbols that define us, born of our imagination and poetics.
The etcher Louis Marcoussis made a realistic portrait of his friend Miró on a metal plate. Miró added to it signs from his imaginary: stars, planets and flames plus words, indicating his desire to be a painter and poet.

Add to your tour of the museum's rooms, the printmaking workshop and the artistic products space by enjoying a hot chocolate.
