Pierrot le fou, Matisse's chromatic influences on Godard
On the eve of the film's 60th anniversary and as part of the MiróMatisse. Beyond Images exhibition, we explore Matisse's influence on the choice of colours in Pierrot le fou. Godard was inspired by the light and landscape of the Côte d'Azur to create a visual link between painting and cinema.
An activity programmed as part of the Per amor a les arts season, led by the Filmoteca de Catalunya and Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya (MNAC), a tool for dialogue between cinema and other artistic disciplines, with the collaboration of other cultural institutions in the city.
