Reading an Artwork
This course on reading images stems from a desire to provide lay people interested in art with a range of tools for interpreting pictorial works.
Over three sessions - one that focuses more on theory, held at the Biblioteca Joan Miró, and two of a more practical nature, held at the Fundació Joan Miró (6 May) and the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya - the art historian and philologist Mireia Sánchez will be exploring some of the possible methodologies for analysing images from both a formalist and a critical perspective.
