Lina Bo Bardi believed that what really made a place was the possibility of being inhabited, experienced, used on an everyday basis. For her, drawing was a highly personal vehicle of expression.
Lina's Houses is an interactive space where visitors become pedestrians in a fictional setting where streets and houses are simplified as in a city map.
Visitors venture into this space to define it. They walk around in it and leave their drawings or collages on the walls and on the structures in the space.
These structures are inspired by the stands that Bo Bardi set up in the São Paulo Museum of Art in Brazil to exhibit the works which in theory were meant to be hung on the walls.
