In the first part of the activity, Who Is Afraid of Ideology? will be screened. The film weaves a path through the struggles of women in places like Syria and Colombia to reclaim the right to the land and to reconnect with nature. In this third part of the trilogy entitled Micro Resistances, the action takes place in Tolima (Colombia) and focuses on the systemic war waged by transnational corporations against the smallest and most essential element of life: the seed.
Viewers will subsequently be able to take part in an online talk with the director of this trilogy, Marwa Arsanios. The artist, filmmaker and researcher has worked on installation, performance and moving-image art forms. She reconsiders the political development of the second half of the 20th century from a contemporary perspective, focusing on gender relations, collectivism, urbanism and industrialisation. Her research covers many disciplines, and she undertakes numerous projects collaboratively.
