On 10 June 1975, the Fundació Joan Miró opened its doors in Montjuïc for the first time with the will to become an international authority on the work of Joan Miró, and a centre open to other disciplines and to art for everyone.
Joan Miró was the first to commit to fighting to make this dream a reality, and other intellectuals, artists, institutions, and friends soon followed.
Over the last 40 years the Fundació has grown in experience, knowledge, and freedoms. We’ve built bridges and made commitments to our friends, to companies and institutions, and to the city (#hemcrescutjunts).
